I personally believe in Bible Reading Plans. As a child of Calvary Chapel where a credo was line by line, chapter by chapter in an effort to include the entire counsel of God and not to pick and choose favourites... BRP's help keep you in the whole Word. I find that questions help, thoughts to ponder accompanying the devotional reading are vital. On days, when I am rushing it is easy to convince myself that I actually got something from my reading.

good idea. Keeps thoughts focused on the reading of the day.
